Michael Mirsky

Songwriter and Musician

Michael Mirsky is a South Florida-based musician whose songs blend ancient Hebrew texts with modern melodies, creating music that invites reflection, connection, and presence. With low, resonant vocals and influences like Leonard Cohen, Radiohead, Matisyahu, and Jeff Buckley, his music leans into themes of longing, prayer, and belonging.

Raised in a musically eclectic household, Michael’s early influences ranged from Antônio Carlos Jobim and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to classic rock, jazz, and alternative music. Though he grew up in an Orthodox Jewish environment, Jewish music wasn’t actually central to his childhood. It was during his gap year in Israel that Michael first performed publicly, debuting at an open mic in Jerusalem and discovering how sharing music could create real connection between people.

Returning home, he honed his craft as part of the Kehilla Band, performing at community events and sharing stages with artists like Zusha, Jeryko, and Nissim Black. These experiences helped him develop a grounded stage presence and a style rooted in honesty.

Today, his music grows out of a path of prayer, vulnerability, and searching. Drawing from themes of longing, faith, and gratitude, he brings ancient texts into songs that feel alive in the present. His hope is simply to offer listeners moments of peace, reflection, and connection through the music. A small reminder of what matters.

His music often finds its home in intimate spaces, song circles, and gatherings where listening becomes a shared experience.
